PLEASE HELP 700R OVERHEATING
#1
SOMEBODY PEASE HELP ME MY 06 RAPTOR 700R IS GETTING HOT QUICK. COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO I WAS UP NORTH RIDNG TRAILS (MICHIGAN) AND IT OVERHEATED. I STOPPED OFF A GAS STATION AND ADDED ANTI-FREEZE, I DID NOT THINK ANYTHING OF IT. I JUST PUT A DR.D PIPE, K&N AIR FILTER KIT AND FUEL PROGRAMMER ON AND WAS LETTING IT RUN IN MY GARAGE AND AGAIN THE TEMP LIGHT CAME ON SO I SHUTTER DOWN. I HAVE NOT HEARD MY FAN KICK ON YET I AM THINKING SOMETHING COULD BE WRONG WITH THAT. IS THERE A WAY TO TEST MY FAN???
ANOTHER THING IS I HAVE A TRIP PLANNED NEXT WEEK SO I WILL BRING IT IN TO THE DEALER. WILL THE PIPE, AIR KIT AND FUEL PROGRAMMER AFFECT MY WARRANTY IF LETS SAY IT IS A FAN OR FAN RELAY PROBLEM???
THANKS FOR THE HELP IN ADVANCE...
JIM (MICHIGAN)

I beleive that if your aftermarket accesory was the cause of the problem it will not be under warranty . Have someone call and ask and then just take it off if thats what it comes down too.

When you added that thing to your carb. It made your fan over heat and blow a fuse. thats what it does when you over heat you fan so you dont blow the motor in it. You might be having problems with that new exhaust if it is restricting air to over heat it. Does it have a great restriction?

Some models have had a issue with the fans not kicking on. If you do a search Im sure you can find where to check the connection under the seat. Id tell you but mine works fine and never read the how to.
Second you need to do a plug check to make sure you have your controller set right.
I have read of one person having a faulty water pump so this could be another issue.
