Here is a site where you can order Raptor oem manuals and microfiche.
http://www.motocom.com/items.php3

If the address hangs up just type in
www.motocom.com and go through the menus to get to the Raptor books. My dealer was trying to get 90 bucks for the same book and told me that they are hard to get. They would not even let me make a copy of a page I wanted to check my machine. The Yamaha dealers that I have in my area are jokes. They wanted 190 bucks to adjust valves and change the oil. What is the going price? Another dearler wanted 100 bucks for an oil change. The dealer that wanted 190 bucks was really a joke because I told them that I already had the plactics and gas tank off. The guy tried to tell me that it cost so much because they had to pull the cam to adjust the valves. That dealer needs to be run out of town.

RaptorRRC,

Which dealer wanted $190. Was it the one on Alta Mere in FW?

The local dealer in my area only wants like $45 to adjust the valves, 80 if he changes the oil. (I will take care of the Oil change.)

$190 sounds like a HUGE rip off. Even my local honda dealer only charged me $85 for the valve adjustment and oil change after 20 hours.

RaptorRRC,

Does that young looking guy with the pony-tail still own it? I've been in there several times in the past (years ago) and he was always on the phone talking to a girlfriend and would come help me ONLY when he was through talking. I always thought they were a little 'shady'. The best dealers I've come across is Central Yamaha in Plano and the Yamaha / Suzuki dealer in Hurst.

I don't know about the guy you are talking about. The owner of Yamaha west is also the owner of Yamaha Suzuki of Texas on Hurst Blvd. The person you are talking about may be the owners son. I heard he worked there. I delt with Larry on my 2nd Raptor and he was very helpful. Larry is the owner of both places.
