that makes sense .. will check float level. any other thoughts. it is like it is hitting a rev limiter and then power drops off??/ it is not so cool when you cant make it up comp.

My Banshee does the same thing. I just started last season. Half the way up the dune and the power just drops off. I changed plugs, cleaned the air filter, compression in both cylinders is 115 psi, cleaned out the carbs and inspected the reeds. I tested it again this past weekend out at Randsburg in Cali and the same problem exists. I hope someone can figure it out. I am getting ready to pull the top end down!!!

Here is my solution:
I purchased a new the new coil and the secondary side tested open just like the old one I removed, hmmmmm!! However, I installed it and the bike fired on the first kick. I used to take 5-10 kicks before it would fire up.
We went riding over Thanksgiving weekend at Glamis sand dunes. As soon as we pulled out of camp I could tell the bike was stronger. I took it up one of the long dunes and it was like it was a new bike. The power kept going and going. The loss of power is gone.
I will probably disect the old coil to see what it is inside and to help me to understand why the secondary side test open.

there is a wire that plugs into the clutch handle bracket.sometimes you can cut that wire and this will solve your problem.if you cut it and your bike will not start back then wire the wire back together and it still might solve your problem.I've seen this work a dozen times.let me know if it works.
