i dont know about stickin to the side of a hill as good as a rancher, depends how steep, speed, etc. it aint bad at all for side hilling though, the suspension would definately be a welcome adition and ya it probably does steer just as easy, or easier, prob wont notice a difference between the two, i say go for it, you won't be dissapointed.

It steers so easily that my petite and weak wife chose it over a Grizzly 350/450. My brother-in-law, who owns a Polaris 700, calls it a Caddy because it steers so well and the ride and seat are very comfortable. I have no experience with any Honda, so I can't compare, but noone who has ridden the Grizzly has been disappointed with its creature comforts. Good luck!

i just put 500 miles on mine on paiute trail and the ps worked great. it does nothing sitting still and is least restrictive at slow speeds and gets more restrictive as you reach higher speed. it is very stable and firm at higher speed, no head shake feeling. i am very happy with it and think you would be to. one of the 500 hondas has p.s also.
growing old is mandatory, growing up is optional. 62, retired. 700 grizzley, fjr1300, klr650.

Way to go with getting out every day. That is the way to avoid loosing it. I am 66 and really love my 700 Griz. However the Honda 2WD has a great light feeling to the front end because it has no heavy front drive. I am sure in many situations that the Rancher will be just as easy to ride as the 700 Griz. The advantage of the new Griz is best realized in rough and long rides where you normally will be getting tired. However if you have a perfectly good Rancher then I would sure not even consider trading up for an 07 Griz. Just wait until the 08s come out and get a much better deal and perhaps Yamaha may have even worked out some of the new model kinks.
Regarding side hills, a low solid rear axle machine is usually more stable than a taller IRS machine of comparable width and I doubt that this comparison is any different.
