best 2006 yfz 450 air filter

Default best 2006 yfz 450 air filter

I just got a new 2006 yfz 450 and wanted to know what is the best air filter for my ride. i usually ride on sand or dirt.

It seems K&N does a better job with sand, while foam such as UNI is better for fine dust and mud. You might want to purchase an intake kit such as the Pro Design ProFlow, they tend to have a more secure mounting system for the filter. Personally, I am getting tired of monkeying with that stupid long bolt, so that is the way i will be going soon.

I can only speak of my experience...... I've been very happy with GYT-R products on my 06 YFZ 450.

Suggestion;
If you don't know how to Jet get a professional to do it for you the first time, you'll spend less time tweaking and more time riding (this is why most successful racers have their own mechanics). JMO

i would say stick with UNI or K&N they both seem to be great filterss
