I bought two of the 12 tooth fronts and they seem to be ok. I bought them because of the 6.99 price and to see how the 12 tooth works with the plan of buying a Renthal for the long term. I we be keeping a close eye on the wear to see how they hold up. I have less than an hour on them at this time so to soon to notice anything.

Did you have a problem with the front nut being as big as it is in relation to the diameter of the 11 tooth sprocket? It seems that it be pretty close to the same size. Does the chain touch the sprocket nut or retainer?

They are close but the chain does not touch the nut if you like the 12 you'll love the 11 exp if your ride in the woods! Just make sure your safety washer is bent over far enough and the chain and sprocket nut wont touch.

With the 12t You gain a noticable amount of lowend, and I would say you dont even lose a MPH on top end. Trust me they are well worth it. I still tottaly destroyed a Banshee with a 12t and barely beet a DS650 with it.
Dont buy from sprocket specialest, they are junk!! Get a Renthal!! They will last a lot longer, lot better quality. If you dont believe take a close look at both.

Raptorrrc, have you found out the top speed of your raptors yet? Did you get a chance to play in the ice Tuesday? I have been trying to finish the house, it is starting to come together. Need to hurry up and finish so we can ride...

Chris,

I found the same results with the 12t, especially in loose sand with Sand Skates. For the hell of it, I tried a 14t on hard surfaces. It hauls on top end, but it never pulls through redline. Anyway, for hard trail riding, that'd be the ticket, especially with a pipe, jets, filter, etc. to give that extra top end power to pull trough redline. Believe it or not, their wasn't bottom end loss. It actually pulled harder through the power band than the stock sprocket. While the 11t has to pull extremely hard, acceleration would surely be at the expense of top speed. I can't afford to decrease topend anymore, (mod banshee boys) and physics says that I will. Anyone with a Tach that can tell me what their rpms are on top with a 12t? Gotta be close to redline.

Raptorrrc, the house is becoming a nightmare for me.Carpet is coming Dec. 19th. Hope to call for a final inspection on the 20th. The outside will not be painted by then. I don't know if they can flunk you for that. Even if it fails inspection i think will will still move in. As soon as i get moved in i am ready to ride.

Did you still have the lugging on the bottom end as bad as the stock sprocket has.
