40 tooth

Well i figure you could give me a lil comparison and i know that it will give you more low end power it does more than make you just have to shift gears more im aware it makes your gears closer and I was wondering if it was as drastic as going from a 13 tooth to a 12 how many teeth does it take to go up on back to equal going down one on the front 2-3-4 ? Anyone who has changed the rear would know so i figured i would ask and maybe someone of use and a lil knowledge would reply and sum up the diff for me.....

One tooth in the back is the smallest change you can do to your gearing, so 2 would be the 2nd smallest change. 1 tooth in the front is equal to 3 in the back. Its alot easier to change the front sprocket too.

AHH ok thats wat i wanted to know is how many it takes to equal going down one so 3 up on the rear is equal to 1 down front thats was what i was wondering Thank's .The reason im chaning is because as of now i can climb most anything in 3rd but i run out of juice rite at the top every time so i figured maybe go up a few will be just the boost i need as of now i have a 12 tooth on front and i lost around 3-4 miles an hour with my trail tech i could hit 64-66 with the 13 on front and now im around 58-60 so thats still fast enuff for how i ride but anyways thank's again.
