I must have read wrong ,I took it that you already had pipes.The banshee stock exhaust really holds back the performance.Once you put a pipe it will feel like a different bike.You said it was ported before then you went back to stock.Did it have porting and stock pipes?

 

the outlaw 525 is supposed to be faster than the rappy700, polaris has tested it against the rappy700 but thats only acceleration out of a turn, up a hill, and somethin else, i dont remember.

an Fuel injected outlaw 525 would kill a rappy700 tho,



I heard the lt-r450 is the slowest of the 450s in a drag and has the least power but kills on the track because of sweet shox and handling, but with a cherry bomb its equal for power with the honda and yfz, (i think the honda 450r has a bit more power than a yfz. am i right?)


I doubt a ds650 and a raptor700 are equal most of the way. the rappy has 33cc on it and EFI not to mention -100lbs
It'll take a lot of power surplus over the raptor to overcome that 100lb handicap

If a raptor had 50hp, the ds650 would need 62hp for the same power:weight ratio

 

I know im changing the subject but i have a 660 raptor and i raced a trx 450... That 4wheeler beat me by about 10 feet... Anyone know what the top stock speed is? Mine and my buddies are both stock.

Well ofcourse!...........The 660 is the most plugged up quad from the factory. A good full pipe and open intake will perform miracles on a 660 if you jet the carbs right.......[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

 

ya it was ported and bored out and ran 110 in it and blew up all the time

 

i have drag raced just about all semi stockers on level ground with my banshee and didnt have any problems winning, after getting into 4th gear the shee would pickup and say goodby.not putting any quads down.

 

a stock 660 raptor does right at 75mph stock.....you need a pipe,kn,and jetting.......you will be suprised at the difference

 

if you blew it up all the time the engine was not put together right or not enough oil in gas

 

I see you have a banshee. my banshee slightly modified eats the yfz 450. i raced 1 who said he had never been beat and i had 100 lbs on him.after i beat him he was a little pissed he came up to me saying that i wasnt stock, told him didnt say i was. ported with pipes makes a big difference.
