If yours is truly a built 686, then you can probably run up to 10 paddles if you want.

Generally, the 4-strokers do better with fewer paddles than their 2-stroke companions.
Most of the 4-stroke drag racers are using the 6-7 paddle "brats". They are light and give excellent floatation. If you are just a general regular duner, I'd go with extremes, or just regular Haulers.

As a comparison, I use 20 X 10 X 10 8-paddle Haulers on the YFZ and they do just fine.

Its really your choice.

depends on what you want paddles for, just dune riding, hill climbing, dragracing. You will want a different type of paddle for each.

IMO Extreme Haulers are the best for everything. Its the only paddle I will use.

How built is the motor(cam, porting, exhaust - be specific) and what size(20's or 22's) paddles do you want to run?
