Default Plastic Cleaner/Polisher

I have found a couple of really good plastic cleaners/polishers. First is Maxima SC-1. It works really well, sprays on, smells good ( no harsh chemical smell), and leaves a really shiny gloss. Found it at a local atv dealer, about $8 a can. My plastic was starting to look really bad, faded/oxidation and many scratches. I also tried Meguiars Back to Black. I had always thought that it was for only black plastic body work, but after reading the bottle, it is for any color plastic. Just spread it on with a waxing pad and polish with microfibre cloth and the results are really pretty impressive. It has taken off all the oxidation and took out all but the deepest scratches. The cost is about $5 at Auto Zone. Makes the Kodiak plastic look new.

I just let it dry a minute or two. I did have to go back over a couple of spots again, and I waited a little longer the second time, and they just buffed out really nice. It was about 50 degrees the day I did it, outside in the sun.

I use Plastic Renew on mine. It takes a while to apply, and it costs $18 a bottle, but if you use it right it does exactly what the name says!

that stuff is overrated..

basically you just sand your plastic with a fine grit to take the scratches out. and the polish is just that.. it's a polisher.. to brighten the plastic

Looks like it really shined it up. How long did you wait to put a shine on them?

i hand washed all the plastic inside with window cleaner( had it around) and then let it dry while i did the others

put some of the back to black on and rubbed it on with a wax pad from autozone.. i basically just went around them.. then i went around again with a towel and buffed it so to the point where it wasn't slick anymore..( no waxy feel)

So I take it you were pleased with the results? I really was, mine was really looking dingy, but it sits in the sun alot. I really need a garage built this summer.
