I was riding today in the snow and it started to cut out. Now it cutts out at half throttle even when its not in gear .
What makes it do that ? how do I fix it ?

might be water in your gas

 

put it some place warm and dry for a couple of days and try it after that ,if still cutting out start checking all of your connectors ,die electric grease is a life saver .fill all connections and put back together

 

I was ridding for an hour before it starded actting up.

Even now it will run if I give it a little gas But from Half to Full throttle it just cuts out.

 

Pluss it gives a poping noise almost like a back fire [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif[/img]

Agreed. Pull the bowl and clean it out. Also check the main jet while you're in there.

 

I tryed to fix the carb. man was it dirty inside but
The carb sliped out of my hand and hit the side of the motor and broke this little plastic cover on the side.
It has a rubber cup on the inside of the cover that is broken off as well.
When I took it to the Yamaha dealer (all three) told me you cant buy the cover you have to BUY A NEW CARB $320.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Have you tried going to a parts site and seeing if you can get just the parts you need?
