im asking this for my friends 99 banshee it has boost bottle,fmf fatty full pipes,k&N airfilter and coolheads thats all i know about whats on it and it smokes out of the right exhaust and not on the left exhaust as much, and after riding around for a min the right pipe was also colder then the left pipe,also when i pulled the plugs out one was carbon fouled just about, and other was just plain looking not dark at all,i think left one was fouled,i rode it and it has crappy power all the way through and after about ten minutes of hard riding it was parked and the right pipe just started pouring light blue smoke out of the exhaust after it was shutoff,i figured some1 didnt check there coolant level and fried one of the pistons or the carbs are really out of tune prolly both,any help wud be great,thanks

 

1. Clean the carbs
2. Comperssion Test
3. Choke on on accident?
4. What kind of oil are you mixing with the gas?
5. Correct temp plugs?

 

2yrs ago a friend of mine with a 370 shee had the same problem when we went to the dunes, what he found was that his seal between the trans and the eng. was leaking oil into the cyls. and burning. His smoke also came out on the right side, this may be the problem, if not do like JLsparky7 suggested

 

seal went bad,thats what id say. any oil coming out of the pipe?

 

is it a crankcase seal? whats it called ive never really got into banshee's internally,i figured id pull carbs and clean and balance them out and gap plugs clean filter and maybe pull the reeds out and see if there bent or anything then ill go from there once carbs are right,but im not sure what seal it is crackcase seal or the one between the drive sprocket and collar,thanks

 

its like a silicone seal between the left side of the motor (gas and oil) and the right side (clutch oil).

 

Its prob your crankcase seal...We had one of are banshee doing that when we first got it to built..and who ever put the seal in..put it in backwards..so they were not to bright..

Is it losing trans. oil?
