wont start

Hi,my little brother has a 86 Yamaha 80 fourwheeler. When it gets cold it wont start.Please help

i experienced the winters with my 400EX today.. take it and set it next to a space heater if you have one or set it next to a wood stove and after 1/2 hr it should start

How old is the gas?
Have you checked the plug?
trash in the carb?
trash in the tank?
fuel **** on?
just idea's.
