Warrior Solenoid "clicking"
#1
Hey Guys,
Did a little riding this past weekend, stalled My 01 Warrior out a couple times. When I push the start buttin the Solenoid Clicks rapidly, My battery connections are tight, When I jump it from my Jepp battery,it starts right up. The battery is older, I charged it overnight but nothing. Would a worn out battery make the clicking noise?

If the terminals on the battery and cables are both clean and shiny and corrosion-free in the contact area, and jump starting it from another vehicle is the only way it will start, it sounds like you have a bad battery. You may be able to take the battery to an auto parts store and have them load test it if you want to be sure.

Hatebreed,
I was having the same problem w/ my 400ex. I first started experiencing it after riding in the snow (selenoid was clicking). I would bang on it or just lift it up a bit and hit the starter and it would be fine. I took all of the connections off of the selenoid and cleaned them up real good w/ some WD-40 and also bought a new battery and cleaned all of the connecting terminals the same way and have not had a problem yet. I agree w/ everyone else that the problem is in your battery. I would replace and also clean up the terminals on the selenoid as well. Hope you get it figured out.

I had the problem twice on my Warrior. Once it was the solenoid and once it was the battery. You can CAREFULLY jump the contacts of the solenoid with a screwdriver to find out if the solenoid is bad.

you might want to try a new solenoid, it dont sound like the battery is bad. raptor solenoids do about the exact same thing when they go bad.
