i have a 06 blaster i put the toomey kit on it went from a 290 to a 310 main jet my question is i stil have the oil injection i no it sucks but if i keep it will it screw anything up seeing how i am getting more gas to the motor now thanks

 

Thats a good question.I never thought of that.Why dont you want to cut the injector system off and just start mixing it?

 

i just cant be bothered with mixing the gas and happing to carry another gas tank with mix gas in it this is easyer and nicer plus the quad is a 06 just bought it two months ago and dont want to really mess with it i like the auto mix just want to make sure its not going to mess things up with more gas going to the motor

 

running too rich is better than running too lean, the most you will mess up running rich is probably just fouling plugs.

 

yah i no rich is alittle better wont blow much up but what my ? was u have a quad with oil injection that is set to let this much oil in to gas ratio now u put a bigger jet in so now more gas is going through does the quad automaticaly add the right amount of oil or does the mixture get messed up and now u are running the quad with real bad gas to oil ratio? or does it not matter? any ideas will help

 

i would think that the gas and oil gets mixed before going into the carb, so you should be ok.

 

It will be fine, the fuel and air grabs the amount of oil it needs on the way with suction. The oil pump just gets the oil to the carb.

 

cool deal thats all i wanted to no because i did change the main jet a month ago and now i have a real bad knock going on i thought made from this oil thing but i guess not just wanted to rule a few ideas i had out thanks for the help
