Default Valve to piston clearance

Here's what I am having done:
12.5:1 piston
Hot cams stage 2 with kibblewhite springs
Head port/polish
Hot rods crank kit

I'm sticking with a stock bore and stroke. Will I have to worry about valve clearances? What about starter issues? I plan on running a 50/50 mix for fuel. Just looking for info on what I should be aware of and other possible options I should look into. My builder said a dynatek ignition might be a good investment to help comliment the cam. Thanks for your info.
