Ignition fuse blows
#1
I have 2002 Big Bear 400 that blows the igniton fuse after its runs for about 3 minutes. I can let it sit for about 10 minutes and replace the fuse and it will start and do the same thing. If I replace the fuse before I let sit those few minutes it will blow the new fuse immediately. If it was short in the wiring it would be blowing the fuses immediately.
Any ideas?

hondabuster prob has your solution.
try this also: check out the rectifier and see if it's getting really hot right before the fuse blows. It's kind of the voltage regulator of the quad. overvoltage or a short is what blows the fuse, check both. make sure all connections are clean and tight! Let us know how it goes!
