installation of eliminator axle
#1
I will be installing an eliminator axle in my Raptor soon. Are there any tricks to getting this right, or is it simply a matter of removing parts, sliding out the old axle and sliding in the new?
What do I torque the axle nuts to? Can they be too tight?

Hey AZLandscaper...the installation is pretty straight forward, but on mine I found that the locknut would not work without having either it or the disc carrier shaved 1/4" to provide clearance to install the RH C-clip. Not a big deal really. Any machine shop can do it for a nominal fee. Other than that, installation is flawless. I really like my axle and the handling improvement it provides. One thing though...for some dumb reason, my locknut TIGHTENS itself when I ride! Don't know why, but it has me a bit concerned. Got to check that out and find a fix. Hope yours goes on OK. I think the axle thing is money well spent. Good luck, and good riding!
