hey guys, i've heard from a couple sources there is going to be a 4-stroke 500cc banshee, anyone else hear anything?

 

I read the dirt wheels article. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] The picture they have was made on photo shop, it's not real. The problem I have is if they make this thing as described it will be a twin 500 with at least 10 more horsepower than a raptor 700, the raptor would be dead. It would be able to race with 450's like the Predator does, the YZF 450 would be dead as well. It sounds awesome but Yamaha would compete with itself. They also mentioned a full auto tranny...what the hell are they thinking? If they want to make it cost effective maybe they should use the existing frame and plastic (make the radiator an oil cooler) and put in an air cooled single 500 4 stroke with a 5 or 6 speed manual trans. with reverse. It would notch between the raptor 350 and 700 without displacing the YZF as the racer. It would be a great trail/dune machine a notch above the competition (400EX, 400Z) I would buy one for my wife or son in a few years. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
