hey i was wondering what the top speep is on the raptor?

 

About 75mph. A manufacturers agreement that no stock atv exceed 76mph was set in the 1980's. It will differ slightly for each bike and set of conditions. Top it out and see for yourself what it will do.

 

That sounds about right. More then the top end, I like 3rd gear on the rappy. It pulls hard for a stock bike!

okay listen her im tired of this stock 75 mph law thing because i know that is a lie and i how do i kno this is because i have a stock 06 banshee that runs 82 mph and that was on a very windy day and im sure the tire pressure and stuff wasnt perfect. so dont be typin that 75 mph no fourwheeler can go over okay

I totally agree with you. But yea if you want to find out the top speed of a raptor 700 buy you one and run it a a drag race track or run it next to a friends car thats how i did my banshee and i got a pretty resonable speed.

 

Whats BS is that a stock Banshee was going 82 mph! Maybe if you had different gearing or some 26" rear tires, or the wind was blowing in the same direction at 30 mph and you were going down Mount Everest, but not stock! The 700's are about the same on top as a YFZ 450, which is in the 73-74 mph range. Banshees are quoted to run 72 mph stock. Just for the record, I was in my truck going down the highway the other day going 64 mph and some idiot on a brand new GYTR edition YFZ 450 with no helmet gets behind me and the passes me on a hill and in a curve. The 450 sounded like it was about to blow up, he was holding it so hard and he could barely pass me - so he couldnt have been going faster than 75. And the 700 really isnt any faster on top end than a 450.

 

I have a 700 raptor and it tops out at 77 mph!!! my friends did top out at 74 till he put more air in the tires now his will top out faster than mine!!!! oh and for the banshee that ran 82 mph thats BS if it was stock if and only if you was draftin behind a car it would run that and i know cus i got 3 friends with banshee's "stock" might i add and my 700 will smoke all 3 of them!!!
