i am trying to change my rotor on my 04 raptor and the allen bolts wont come off for s**t... i tried heating it for a bit but id didnt do anything (it was pretty cold out but the propane torch should of did something to it) any advice???
if you heat the allen bolts, they will become harder to turn out...heat expands metal. and do not strip the allen head. you might want to use a small pipe to get some extra leverage out of the crappy allen wrench. good luck.
Heat the area around the bolt, not the bolt itself. Don't let it cool either, try to crack it loose right after you heat the sorrounding area up, good luck.
ok well i got the old rotor off and the new one on but now i cant compress the piston enohg to fit the pads on so i think i need to bleed my lines... how do i get the old fluid out and new stuff in
