I have a 2007 Raptor 700 and it is backfiring and seems to be running rich. I did install an aftermarket pipe. Could that be the cause?

 

your problem is your fuel, when you put on any after market pipe your stock fuel map is reading your old stock pipe fuel map. make any sence? Now you have to get a efi fuel map put that in and all should be fixed.Hope i explaned myself in this post.

 

If you add a exhaust you need to add a FI controller. Running without one is the same as not rejetting a carb for mods. They come a little lean in stock form so you are probally really lean with the exhaust added.

Power Commander lll and Dobeck or the 2 most trusted controllers out right now.

The PC lll is more adjustable but requires a PC to load maps and costs more.

The Dobeck is a more simple controller that uses dials to adjust and is cheaper.
