Haha nice I'm from North Tonawanda .And as someone else said,If you dont use your parking brake ..follow the plug and unplug it..If your parking brake is messed up,the machine has a failsafe that wont let it run good, bogging ,stalling and such..

can you loosen the carb clamps and turn or twist the carb. and take bowl off and clean carb, jets and bowl with carb cleaner and air pressure, it sounds like you have a clogged jet

does anyone know of any where online I can go to for looking at photos or diagrams of my carburetor.

That hose (in photo) has to go somewhere and I can figure it out, its a vacuum, shouldn't be dangling like that. My Manuel is not helpful at all either.

I bet thats the whole reason its running like it is, maybe I knocked it off from pressure washing it? Just can figure out where it goes?

hehe just to do a little test,I started my quad(it was not hot yet) I pluged that vent hose with my finger,it had no effect at all..I blew into the vent hose and it killed the engine right away..I'll see what my servise manual says..that manual sucks though,so I'd say not to much..

this problem you are having has got me baffled, you say it runs great when you plug your vent hose??That tells me its not a jet problem or a gas problem.Your carb looks like it is bolted on good to the engine and intake,If you cleaned your air filter and put proper air filter oil on it..It should not be a air problem..So if you can do a little test for me,we can knock off one more thing that could be wrong..Put the air box back together again(make sure the air filter lines up with the lid of the air box)so the filter is in a tight fit,the system Yamaha used for this air box kinda sucks..you can make sure it is on tight by pulling off the curved intake hose off the lid of the box and poke your finger in there and make sure the filter is nice and tight..

After everything is put back together, look at the left handlebar brake system, that is where your parking brake is located, follow the black cable down under the front end and disconect the white connector that comes from the parking brake..Then try to start the bike and set your idle and rev the machine..If this works and the quad runs ok your parking brake needs to be adjusted or what I did remove the whole thing

Did you check the flow of gas from the tank??is it a good flow??I drained the tank on mine took off the fuel **** and it was horrible looking, putting a new one on was about a $8.00 part and did wonders for my gas flow..

My 03 wolverine needed a lot of "help" when I bought mine lol,I'm getting to learn it pretty good..But when it comes to carbs..I have no idea at all about them really..The carb on mine had a cracked case when I bought it so I bought a brand new OEM carb..bolted it on out of the box and it worked perfect and still is Lets get yours running.we can hit some trails together,I live 10 min from you lol..You ever hear of the Tri-County Trail Riders..It's a club I'm in we have some nice trails in the Pendleton,Lockport area..Check them out.
