grizzly boiling gas again
I read some of the info on Highlifter. Most of it is wrong. The gas is boiling and Yamaha has a problem. It did it on my 700FI. The fuel system has no return line and the pump is in the fuel tank. So no pressure is required to get fuel to the pump. Fuel should not boil and it is do to getting to hot. Has anyone read about the turnover valve. Some of you will call it a check valve or vent valve. Read the service manual. As I get time I will locate info on the FI adjustments. Its in here somewhere. I think under Grizz cold start problems. The FI (MAP) can be changed. Grizz is set to "0" from the factory and can be adjusted to 120 or so. This will also run head temps and motor temps down some. (More fuel,RICH cools the head. Gas should never boil. Look back at the 660 it was recalled for the problem.
