It doesn't matter if I'm stopped or revving high in first gear, but it acts like it's just binding realy realy badly goin from first or neutral to second.

Do any other gears grind? You can try making the clutch cable tighter to see if its just clutch drag. If its not the clutch it might be warn gear dogs or a problem with the shift forks/drum.

Try movin the shifter down some. It sounds stupid but it might work. Easier than pullin out the dogs.

it souns like that your shift fork()s or you shift shaft(s) are bent i had same problem, except mine second gear was gone in it. i'm guessing that your second is probably on its way out, and possibly maybee a few other gears. If i were you i would take your machine in to your local mechanic and have him break open your tranny and see whats wrong before you could possibly take out your whole tranny. be ready to fork out alot of cash, cost me bout $1k
