700 Raptor vs 450yfz
They are both fast quads and are close stock to stock and mod for mod. There are to many different circumstances to get into which is faster, terrain, length, riders, and I could go on and on. That is why, which is faster starts flame wars and most dont bother responding when people ask anymore. As far as top speed I beleive they are both around 75 mph.
As far as comparing them.
The 450 is a race quad designed for the track. It makes its power high in the rpm range and likes to be wound out. The 450 handles great but with this comes a somewhat of a stiff ride. This isnt to say you cant ride them in the trails. They actually do very well there especially in more open faster pace trails. In slower more tecnical trails they just require alot more clutch work.
The 700 is designed as a trail machine. It makes its power down low in the rpm and has a ton of torque. It works great in the trails because its easy to bog it down and have the torque to take back off. They have a softer ride than a 450 but with this comes the fact they bottom out fairly easy. Now they can run on a track and with some suspention upgrades do very well.
Both are good quads and are very reliable. The 450's do require a bit more maintenace but depending on how much you ride, will determine how bad that can be.
