I just about **** when they told me my blower fan motor for my 2000 kodiak 400 will cost $450.00. It is just a small electric motor. I took it apart to clean and broke the wire going to the brush. Any ideas what else will fit?

 

Someone on an ATV forum once said a late 90's Nissan sentra fan motor would work with modifications. I used to have a 400 and I had the same problem. I think I paid $350 for the motor. Thing that sucks is they are MUCH cheaper after 04.

My buddy has a 400 kodiak and his fan motor had broken too...he paid the 450$ because the way they sell it is the whole fan casing and not just the motor

 

Sorry took so long. Just had the same problem. Found a 2001 raptor fan on ebay cost was $25 plus shipping. Had to take it out of its cradle and put it in the one I had but a lot cheaper than $400!!! Hope this helps.
