Question about Exhaust for Wolverine 450
i think that it includes the needed jet if you get direct, not 100% possitive. i know that if you buy it off ebay it does. from what people say, the hmf pipe deinifitely increases power, but it will be pretty loud. im sure some other wolvey owners will come on and post some answers up for you as well. good luck =]

Question about Exhaust for Wolverine 450
I just bought a HMF pipe, KN filter with pre filter, dynojet jet kit and the quiet core for the muffler. as soon as i get it installed i will let you know. The reason i went with the dynojet kit is that it includes a lot more than just the main jet. If you buy direct from HMF it does not come with the jet kit but it is a extra 12 bucks.

HMF includes a replacement main jet only. The Dynojet kit gives you a modified pilot jet and needle jet in addition to the main jet. The kit also gives you a choice of about 10 different main jets so you can fine tune the carb for your elevation. Same for the needle jet that is included (the needle jet is adjustable for elevation using a metal clip).
Also, if you want to know what the HMF sounds like on a Wolvy 450, check out my YouTube vids.

Definetly get the dynojet kit and the K&N filter to go with the pipe, what ever pipe you decide to get it will give you more power and you will be able to tune the carb better. Here is what the stock exhaust compared to the GYTR exhaust sounds like.
stock exhaust
GYTR exhaust

Question about Exhaust for Wolverine 450
Thanks everyone for the help. This is my first quad so I'm inexperienced.
Another question - do you have to re-jet with the exhaust? Will you see any performance benefit without re-jetting?
Also - anyone have an opinion on GYTR muffler vs HMF? The HMF is much cheaper, but is there any difference performance wise?

Not only will there be no performance increase, your engine will be running lean which is never a good thing.
As far as the HMF, I love it. HMF pipes have a deep, unique sound that no other pipe can match. The GYTR sounds too high pitch and close to the stock exhaust in my opinion. For power increase they should be right around the same.
