I have a 350 raptor, and I have the same issue. I want the most power possible, with as little noise as possible. I posted a topic on this about a month or two ago, and from what I heard, you should look a a white bros., or hmf. One guy told me that a fmf power core 4 with a spark arrestor isn't too much louder than stock. I've also heard the gtyr oval pipe is fairly quiet, but with good power increases.

It is possible to take the baffle out, but you're not gonna gain much - other than your Raptor sounding like a turd. Not too familiar with quiet pipes, I always tried to get the loudest one possible(Curtis Sparks). HMF is not very quiet, neither is White Bros. The GYTR is fairly quiet. Why are you worried about the cops? Are you riding on the road or something?

You can take the stock baffle out by revoming the screw (or 2 I can't remember) on the back of the pipe and pull the baffle, it's a tight fit but it will come out. It will be VERY LOUD. Most aftermarket pipes are alot louder than stock. Check local laws about how loud your pipe can be, then look at the db rating on the pipe from the manufacturer. FMF and a few others have a quiet series of pipes with good power gains. Hope this helps.
P.S. Don't forget to rejet.

The white bros. eseries is a quiet pipe. not much louder than stock if it is at all. It does have a good sound also.
Also, you don't want to take the baffle out of your pipe. I think your referring to the spark arrestor. This will make it much louder with a minimal gain in performance.
