Can anyone tell me the best way to remove the foot shifter on a 2001 Big Bear 400 4x4? Does that pivot point bolt come out?

 

There's a circlip on the back of the shifter use a flat head 2 pry it a-part or maybe some needle nose would work then slide the shifter off the shaft then hold that rod with some vise grips or channel locks and twist the shifter off..
