I am in the process of replacing my crankshaft seals and I did the flywheel side seal the other night and there are 2 long phillips head screws that hold the stator in once the flywheel is removed. I stripped on of those bad and thankfully was able to get it out. This doesn't look like a regular screw but I found one at the local hardware store that would do the trick. The one I found is a hex head and its not stainless but is there any reason for concern with me using this or should I order from the Stealership? I just didn't know with they flywheel being magnitized and I have so much crap to do on this thing would hate for something stupid like to this to screw it up. I also have one on the Crankcase that was stripped and found a hex head 8mm bolt that I think will work but the head is a little different then the stock one so hopeing that will work as well? Any thoughts and oppinions would be much appreciated. Thanks.
