Default 01 raptor spark help

You said earlier: Valve cover gasket. There are three 'valve covers'. One big one over the intake vlaves (back side of head) and over each of the exhaust valves (front side of head).

If the oil is ORIGINATING in the plug hole, you have a deeper problem, perhaps a cracked head. Can you be more specific about the spot where the oil seems be coming out from?

Please try going to Raptorforum.com, in the 660 General forum, and post a question about the source of your leak. THAT is the best forum. This one's okay, but not nearly as good as Raptorforum.com You'll get the best advice from the most knowledgeable guys there.

BTW, i belong to 4 forums for the Rappy, 1 for my Honda's and 1 for boats, lol.

I suppose the leak could be from the head gasket, but that's below the plug hole?

Looking at the manual, it seems most likely that the leak would be from the cylinder head cover. It's just above the plug hole, so that would make sense?

If you don't already have it, I wholeheartedly recommend that you download the manual. Pulling the cylinder head cover doesn't look too hard, as long as you have the pics in the manual.

the head gasket cant be blown oil wouldnt come out may be fire because the head gasket is between two pieces of metal no oil is near it. do a compression test if your over 100 psi the engine is fine.if theirs oil coming from the head it will come from 3 places the oil line from the case to the head, the covers on the head, or a cracked head.
