Does anyone want to know what the riding is like over here in Oz? I ride on the Stokton Bight which is the largest mass of moving coastal dune in the southern hemisphere.

Sure, I would like to read and see all I can about the riding down-under. I have a sister that live just outside of Perth close to the beach. I will be visiting in the near future and I just have not figured out kow to get the Raptors there. Are the places you are talking about on the web?

If you would like to see some cool pictures of where I ride (Stockton dunes) check out this website: http://www.bookingaustralia.com.au/N...andSafaris.htm it shows some pictures of the dunes at sunrise and sunset. Does your sister ride also? Is she in Australia working or do you have a lot of family over here?

The Stockton Bight stretches from Anna Bay to Stockton which I think is 33km (but I'm not exactly sure) It's not far from Newcastle,N.S.W. Have you heard of this spot before? Towards Stockton ther is a Shipwreck called the Sygna which was washed up on the coast in 1974 and is visible from the beach. Ther are no restrictions to riding along the Bight and dune buggies, motorbikes trikes and quads are out there often. They must be registered. I've heard that the sand over there is different to here. Apparently yours is a lot finer and easier to ride on. I don't know. But if you're ever over here you want to check it out cause it's a great riding spot. What part of the states are you from? Sorry, I only know Bill Clinton jokes and theyre all pretty corny.

My sister married an Ausi in November and now that makes her What? She lives there and I can't wait to visit. She does not ride at this time but she used to ride a bike everyday. Check out my web site and I will for surelook at you sites you posted. My parents went there for the wedding and were only going to stay 4 weeks but it looks like now they will not be returning until late April. They seem to like it there. (I WANT TO BE THERE TOO. Its a cold winter here now and my parents tell me that they are having two summers now and they will be home when it warms up.

Fantastic web site, Thanks, and post any more like it if you have them. The dune pics look great. I want to get there as soon as possible. You are lucky to have them as we seem to be losing our great ridding areas every day.

For some better pics of where I ride go to links under this website. Click on Newcastle dune riders under Australia. This shows a really good picture of the Sygna shipwreck and also a really steep track which goes up one of the dunes. I cant make it up on my standard warrior but i can on my brothers 400ex.
