i recently purchased an 04 yfz 450 and it ran perfectly untill i took it out for its first ride.... it just died and all it does when i push the start button, it makes a clunk sound coming from the little box that holds the fuses.... i went to charge the battery and when i hooked up the charger and pluged it in.... the starter started making a buzzzzz sound. it would stop when i unhooked the charger. Is my started shot? or whats my problem?

i'd check your connections.. sounds like you have an electrical issue in the solenoid or battery

 

i checked all my connections... they seem to be fine. the buzzing stopped... but something seems to be draining the battery.... becuase i have to charge it for a few hours before i can get it to turnover (but when it does turn over... it runs perfectly for a bit... then all of the sudden, it dies... i can get it started right away again, but it stays running shorter and shorter every time a start it up.... then the battery seems to be dieing... and it wont start any more. The problem cant just be the battery, because the battery wouldn't cause it to just die. I really want to have this thing running so i can ride it. Any ideas on the problem or things i can try are greatly appreciated.
