Has anyone put a locker on their front differential? I just bought my first atv and wondered about putting a locker from highlifter on the front differential. I bought a 2001 4x4 kodiak with a warn snow plow. If I put a locker in how will the quad steer when i put the quad in 2 wheel drive? I know that in 4 wheel drive the quad will steer alot different. What about a lift kit and tires? Thanks

It's going to steer almost the same as when you have it in 4x4. That is what turned me off in putting one on mine since I use my Kodiak for more than just mudding.

It will wear you out on long rides. You have to pull it back to the neutral position. So if you turn it to full lock and let go it will stay there.

Thanks for the information. I guess i'll just leave a good thing alone. I quit riding motocross bikes back in 1978, so getting back on this new toy has been fun. I can't wait for spring and the northern michigan woods.
