Default My blaster

I have a yamaha blaster '03 250cc

and I can't find any big bore kits for it. and I heard that's not the best idea anyway...

so what should i do? and where should i get the stuff to do it? I find a lot of exhausts and stuff on ebay....

i'm thinking of getting the FMF SST pipe cuz i have the FMF "Q" exhaust on there already.

any help? i did a couple thread searches...

i want my blaster to be a well rounded quad. like good top end...and go like 60-70 mph.

if you can't tell ...i'm kinda new. so any help is appreciated.

thanks!

A blaster is 200cc not 250.

I know..i thought that was weird... but i'm only going by what the sticker on the side says. it says 6 speed blaster 250

idk how many speeds the ordinary blaster has but i know mine has 6

but still i would like to know what sort of mods i should start out with

sorry no pics. since i just got back to my boarding school i won't see my quad for 2 weeks now...

i took it to the dealer once and i told them it was a 250 and they didn't correct me or say it was any different then a regular blaster. are ordinary ones 5 speeds? i don't have any friends with blasters so i wouldn't know...

but this does feel like a 250. it really kicks in at like 4 and 5th gear.

because 4th and 5th gear are LONG gears and really carry the power... all blasters are 6 speeds

ok thanks for the info. yeah i really feel it there....but why is mine a 250? unless the sticker is lying? the man i purchased it from said it was a 250 in the ad on ebay. and i've had the quad for 3 years now and it runs amazing.

k i'll get a picture as soon as i can. and i don't know the VIN off the top of my head.

but i emailed the nearest dealer and asked them what's up so i'll wait for the response from them and i'll fill you all in. but for now i'll keep looking for easy mods.

thanks

Now that I think about it...the guy who sold it to me might have been wrong. because i might be imagining the sticker lol

So anyway what can i do to give it more power all around?

i want it ported/bored and the flywheel lightened and all that good stuff. anywhere to get the necessary things cheap but good quality?

thanks.
