Whats up guys my 05 bruin 350 Has an extremely bad engine knock. Removed gas tank and all that and its clearly coming from top of the engine. The quad was never submerged, never held on WOT for more then 10 seconds, oils were changed regularly, oil filters were changed regularly, and Never came low on oil. I might have bought a 3 year warranty I'm gonna call tomorow but does anyone have any idea what it might be? I'm thinking valves and hoping its valves. Anyones opinions appreciated thank you!

 

is it a knock? or loud valves?

 

Its extremely loud but sounds like a knock, I put my head on the top cylinder and the vibrations were nuts. There is 0 engine smoke and it starts right up no problem. Stays running no problem as well

 

have the valves ever been adjusted?

 

Not since the original 20 hr maintenance

 

that may be your problem those are suppose to be checked like every 50 hours and adjusted very 100 or something like that

 

How much is it usually to get checked and or fixed? I'm trying to sell the thing as soon as possible

 

some dealers will vary..i had mine done on that 20hr maint and everthing cost me 250..my brothe called a different dealer and had them adjust valves, change plug, fluids, adjust brakes etc and it was only 150..

only thing I had done more was a oil change and clean/oil air filter (100$ more...crazy!!) ..needless to say call around on pricing. I never did.

 

if you take all of the plastic off you can save like $50-$100

 

Just Curious! Was it Knocking on Tick over as well?
Because i have a similar problem with my 450 Kodiak!
