i have a 86 yfm 225 it will run for a few seconds and die yesterday it would not start i changed the spark plug and it started for a second then died then i pulled the coil off of the plug and it was making the same sound when i tried to start it does that mean the coil is bad or is it cdi or regulator now my second question is i have a 87 yfm 350 it will start up but you have to rev the throttle to keep it running so does it need a carb job or something else because it will not idle at all as soon as you let off the gas it dies. i need a little help here guys so put on your thinking caps

Dunno if I am leading you up the garden path her some one please correct me if I am wrong. If it runs with the throttle open but not on idle, have you tried cleaning out the primary jet in the carb could be the cause of your problems could you e-mail me a pic of your crab and bike as I have just been given a atv and think it is a moto-4 350 but I am not sure, e-mail gregphillipson@gmail.com
