Anyone have one of these meters on their atv? Does it work well and how hard was it to hook up? I believe the hour meter is available for the 2-stroke atv's and the hour/rpm meter is available for the thumpers. Thanks!

have one on my raptor and love it for keeping track of hours on the motor. As far as the tach end of it, it doesn't register right away only when you are at a constant throttle. It is still a good deal at $30 just to keep track of the hours on the motor.

I just use the good old hour meter that is on with the ignition. No Tach. Low Dollar from Northern Hydraulics or any parts or hardware store.

125 hours on my Kodiak. No break problems. Ran hard and put up wet.

Chasman, Where did you mount it on your Raptor and about what size is it? You also mentioned $30. My dealer wants $45. If you was to do it again, would you do the tach also or just the hour meter?

I would buy it again the tach is cool even though it isn't crispy responsive. Hey Raptorrider I can send you a digital picture of where I mounted it. On the stock plastic in the middle of the handle bars. Looks pretty good. Oh yeah i checked my receipt it was $34. Sorry

Thanks for the responses, guys. I was quoted almost $50. But for the convenience of just picking it up at my local dealer, I believe I will go-ahead and pick it up.

I have one on my kodiak,it great for the hours but as far as the rpm's it is shakey. It was really simple to hook it up.It just wraps around your spark plug wire and you mount it where you want to (put mine on in the center of the handlebars on the plastic) and your done.At 10 hours it flashes,to let you know about your oil,air cleaner, whatever needs to be changed or done.Mine was $45 as well.
