My 2000 grizz has 27 inch titan 589, after putting on the tires, I have lost alot of power, maybe its in my head but it doesnt seem to be as powerfull as a 600 should be, it sounds powerful. But if i get stuck where I have excellent traction, I can barely spin the tires, and forget high range. If I punch it in high range, even in the snow, it doesnt spin like it should, only after it hits 10 mph do you really feel the power. The belt is not slipping, it has been well cared for, only 500 miles on it. And my top speed dropped off too. My friend just got a 00 kodiak, I get him on take off, but not by much, he will catch me if there is an incline or level ground. Eventually i will pull away, but 200 cc's difference? I am at a loss. I have brought it to the dealers, and they say its just as powerfull as anything they have. is there anything i can do to make a real differenc? without a new pipe? its loud enough as it is. What do you guys think, any suggestions. It just feels like if I were to pull something heavy and had the traction, it would just bog down....

I've got the 27" Titan 589's on my Griz and GRIZZZZZ is right. If you want your power back you're going to have to dip into your pocket again and at least get the clutch kit for oversized tires and better yet a jet kit and K&N filter and even better yet an IDS2 pipe. The clutch kit isn't terribly difficult to install and neither is the jet kit, filter, or pipe. Yes, the pipe does make it louder, but you have to decide what your priorities are. The pipe is too loud for me when I'm just tooling through the woods, but that's the price I pay for getting my power back. Everything is a tradeoff.
