Banshee VS. 700R
#22
Amazing after showing a <10sec 1/4 mile at 135mph - 4 stroke fans still state that they can take a banshee?(maybee a stocker) Once tweeked nothing can touch a banshee. I would like to see a raptor with those 1/4 mile numbers

OK... I own an 02 Banshee w/ CPI in frame drag pipes, K&N, jetted, V-Force reeds and an 08 Raptor 700 bone stock.
In a drag race on dirt and on pavement (shhh don't tell) the Raptor takes the Banshee, yes even with the pipes...for a short while. The top speed of the Banshee is probable about 5-10 mph faster so in 5th and 6th it will catch and pass the Raptor. My 660 was piped jetted and K&Nd and it didn't beat my Banshee but the 700 does.
However the rider makes a big difference cause I can beat my old man on the Shee and on the Rap so the start and when you shift could make a difference... either way these two machines are both AWESOME Thank You Yamaha!

ok. i planed on a cool head when i ported i figured it would help the cooling and give me performance and i was looking at getting a +4 timing key. Would the adjustable timing plate be better?
