Grizzly 700 EPS or not
#1
I was thinking of buying a Grizzly 700 I found a 2007 Grizzly with EPS and a 2008 Grizzly without EPS. The 08 is 300 less. I was wondering if the EPS is realy worth it. Does it realy make a difference?

It would be the best $300 you ever spent on mod's. I can't imagine not having it now, especially if it is only $300 more.
Worth it is an understatement.
Ask away if you have any direct questions about EPS.

I will never ride one without it again! When I got on one of my other quads it just doesent feel right. I rode over 20 miles yesterday and my arms never felt better. Best thing since sliced bread!

The power steering is a great mod. If you have over sized tires on it it makes a huge difference driving on hard packed, blacktop, trails. It handles great in the mud. I have 1,000 miles on it and I have had no problems with anything.
The only problem with the steering is at high speeds with bug luggie tires it over steers a little bit

You wont be able to tell how much difference the EPS makes with a typical test drive at a dealership. The EPS is connected to the steering shaft via a torsion bar type connection that allows the computer to sense how much effort is being put into turning the handlebars, and then the EPS adds steering assist based on that. So the steering is only a small amount easier when you drive it in a parking lot in two wheel drive at the dealership. But the steering never gets any harder than that either, because the more difficult the terrain, or the more effort is required to overcome resistance of the differential lock, etc., the more assist the EPS adds. You have to get it out on the trail, or in four wheel drive to really see how much of a difference it makes.
We have two Grizzly 700s with EPS, and have a total of 1600 miles on them. I also did a 275 mile ride on my Grizzly, ... in one day. It was the entire 01 loop of the Paiute ATV trail system, in central UT. Many of the trails were seriously rocky and rough, and despite 13 straight hours riding the Grizzly I did not have sore shoulders or arms. The Grizzly 700 with EPS makes everything you do so easy that it is an absolute joy to ride.

Well put. I 100% agree with this post.
BTW kick the quad in diff lock at the dealership and see how it steers...you'll be amazed.

The best feeling ATV (comfort, ride, handling, ease of use, etc...........) that I have ever rode on. Once you ride one, you will see and feel what all the fuss is about.

I had an 07 Arctic cat 700 went in and looked at the Grizzly my wife drove it first and came back with a grin. Well needless to say we no longer have the AC. It is awsome we can ride (hunting) most of the day in some pretty rough terrain and still not be over worked like the others we have rode with. You could tell the difference in the parking lot just by locking both machines in 4 wheel lock and do a figure 8 with them you will be able to feel it a little with the eps but will think that it didnt lock. $300 is nothing when you are spending 7 grand+. don't miss out get the power steering you wont regret it.
