banshee problems

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]Ok,get the compression reading and go from there, I hope the owner before you rejetted it when he put the FMF exhuast on it Man I have seen to-many guys just put some PIPES on-em and ruin a good motor, or get-em where they dont run as good as a stock one, i think yamaha mite have it figured out!!!! They didnt change that motor >ANY< in 20 years,,1986=2006.IMO,,,,, Luck Eddie.

basically wen u doin the test do u have 2 take out both spark plugs and connect compression tester two one side and kick it into the needle stops is that correct or what can u give a lil directions

[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]Yep, just pull both plugs,its easyier to kick over,check one cyn,and then the other,really the first good kick should tell you what the pressure is,,,, but you can kick it a-few times to be sure that the gauge is OK. It fires every stroke so it ANIT going to build up pressure to run on. Luck Latter Eddie.

jus bought the actron compression test from autozone 27 bucks. iight jus hold thumb throttle all way threw and kick till gage needle stop movin

never tried pulling both at the same time....... but yes kick it till the needle stops and hold throttle open.

wow wat u mean allright so u take the plug caps off screw one plug out and leave the other in then u hook up the compresser hold throttle open and kick it till needle stop and do the same to other side is that correct
