Default need easy cam for wolverine

My wolverine is stock, and has never had an upgrade.

I am looking for a cam that I can drop in myself. The hotcams stage 1 cam looks easier than the webcam and appear to require no special tools. (micrometer, spring compression)

BUT, I want a cam for bottom end and mid range, I could care less about top end. so it looks like the hotcams stage w is out and I do not see a mudbuster for this bike.

I also want to add a pullstart or kickstart to this bike and a bigger (not secondary) oil cooler. any ideas for either?

I am adding the following:

FMF megamax exhaust
25" mudlite xl's
looking into a dynojet stage 1 jet kit
new intake.

Thank you in advance for your help

If you want a real cam, you need to get the valve springs. If not, you will have to stick with the Hotcam. The reason you don't need springs with the Hotcam is because it doesn't add much lift over stock. You can get a machine shop to install the springs for very little money.

Not sure which cam adds what. You can look into Webcams at their website, I think it's Webcamshafts.com or something. Powroll.com I think is the website that has some good cams on there. I have always ran the Webcam .430" with good results on Warriors. A cam that big may hurt yor bottom end if you don't have any other engine mods. I'm not really an engine designer so I may not know what I'm talking about.

as far as an oil cooler, you should be able to get one from autozone or oreillys, just a universal trans cooler would work, and you could just fab up some mounts to hold it in place.

The main reason I was looking into a big bear or Kodiak Cooler was I wanted something that would thread on to the existing lines, and not require hacking the flare fittings off to rely on hoseclamps.
