Default 96 big bear 350,dies on acceleration

Hey everyone. I have a problem not yet figured out. My big bear started running rough last fall. I diassembled a very grimmy carb ,throughly cleaned it, made all adjustments to specs and reassembled. ( I have rebuilt these many times). After installing the carb, the quad would idle fine. I could even throttle it up to higher rpm's but as soon as the gear engage to travel, it would sound as if it were flooding. This became frequent. Now it won't throttle up to higher rpm's. I considered the pilot jet to be clogged. So I performed another (and another) carb checkand cleaning, each time ensuring the pilots were clear along with ports. I'm suspecting something else, maybe in the area of timing issues, even though the time, cam sequence is correct along with proper valve clearances. It seems as though the timing is not advancing on demand.Could it be the CDI?
