660 wont start please help

it ran famously before i changed the one way just some clunking on startup but ive clean the carbs twice but now my starter died for some reason so i have to get that to crank again before i can proceed with anythign else but i know for a fact that woodruff key is on the crank and the fly wheel is in the right place but i havent gotten around to checking the senor or the bump yet and how big is this bump on the crank just so i know what to look for.

If I recall, it's about 0.1 inch tall and maybe a 1/2" long, centered on the outer circumference of the flywheel.
Since you said you had spark, I have been suggesting the resultant possibilities. Make sure (as a previous poster said) that you do have sparking across the PLUG gap, not just by testing at the the spark plug wire's boot.

THat should suffice to tell you that you do have spark. Sprsy some starting fluid through the carb and crank it, once your starter works again. If it sputters or runs at all, it's fuel/carb related.

well i fixed the starter but when i crank the motor i can hear what sounds to be piston rings scrapign because of no oil in the top end im assuming and way to lub it up its really bad sounding

nate i'm asuming that the 660 is a 4 stroke engine , and if it is the only way i know of lubing the top end os to remove the valve access cover's and pouring some oil inside the valve access hole's to lube the top end ; and you can put about a tablespoon or 2 into the spark plug hole's to lube the cylinder wall's !
And then just let it soak a few day's and try it again later , then if the ring's or bearing's aren't shot you can mix some sea foam to some fresh fuel and try it again !
People may think that i keep boasting about sea foam working wonder's to engine's , and that i don't know what i'm talking about ; but you would've had to see what it did for my old 88' GMC S1500 Jimmy 4x4 MPV !
I mean this old 88' Jimmy i bought from a used car dealer for $1500.00 had over 3 hundred and 3 thousand miles on it when i bought it , and the used car dealer told me that the nefew of the old man that he took it in from as a trade in on a 2005 Dodge Ram Dulley ; said that the engine and drivetrain had only 87,000 miles on it since the overhaul !
And i worked for 4 different used car dealers starting when i was 16 yrs old , 3 out of the 4 dealers would rip off their own father and mother when it came down to sellin a used car !
So i didn't beleive the dealer not for 1 minute that he was telling me the truth ; but it had a set of custom set of wheel that my brother said cost over $600.00 a peice for the wheels alone !
And i know my brother knew what he was talking about when it came to custom wheels , because he had bought enough of them over the yrs. to know what they were worth ; and he knew how much i hate Magneumn wheel's !
And it also had a new $1100.00 set of stainless steel dual Flow Masters on it as well , and i do know how much they were worth ; even tough i like a quite exhaust system on my ride's !
I've alway hated a loud exhaust , because i alway got run out of town when i would ride my old 1972 Honda CB 450 that had a brand new 1975 CB 750 twin cylinder engine street bike when i put a set of Harley Davison meaphone mufflers on it ; even though they were much quiter than the Big Harleys that were in town on the same's night's i was in town !
The city police would pull me over and threaten me with a ticket , for improper exhaust ; but they never said a word to the Harley's or pulled them over !
But i could ride in the county and the Sheriff's dept , and the State Patrol Troopers ; never stopped me once ; it was just the City Police Officers that would hassle me !
I know the City Police pulled 100 time's or more , and they never gave me a traffic ticket they would just run me out of town ; and tell me the next time i see you in town with those illegal muffler's again they were going to give me a ticket but they never did !
Amd about the Jimmy it started smoking after 75 miles of driving it , i did a tune up and changed the oil and filter and air filter and when i tried to start it up the thing jumped time in the middle of my driveway !
I had almost a full tank of gas @$3.00 a gallon and it had a 19 or 20 gallon tank when it jumped time , i poured a full 16 oz. can of sea foam in the tank ; and got my 3 brothers to shake the Jimmy for ove 5 minute's to mke sure it was mixed good !
The reason i poured in the sea foam was to keep the gas from going bad while i saved the money for parts , and it took me 6 month's to get them ; after i fixed it and started driving it again and it started to smoke after 25 mile's ! I was ready to sell to my brother for what even he would offer when my 87' Chevy S10 p/u blew the trans pump seal , so i had to keep it untill i got the tranny seal's in and put it back together ; ii had a half tank in the Jimmy so went to Race Track and filled the Jimmy one last time !
And when i used this tank of fuel i was going to let my brother have it for whatever he would offer , on the home i had to stop at a traffic light ; and when it turned green to go i looked in the driver side mirrow to see the smoke when i hit the throddle but this time there wasn't any smoke !
And it's been smoke free for over 7 month's and it's still smoke free , It took a half a tank of gas to clean the combustion chamber and stop the smoking ; and i know it had to be the sea foam that did the job !
So i know that it work's like they say it does ! ...........

Williebee,
Who gives a rat's *** what you did with an old beat up SUV? There is a genuine problem here and your story about buildup and gunk in the engine doesn't come close to addressing the issue. Heck, you don't even know if the motor in question is a 4 stroke or not. Your infomercial is not welcome nor is it useful here, go away.
