Default FMF Pipes

I have a 2006 blaster and was going to put some pipes on it. So i went to my mechanic and he said i would have to rejet it to put the pipes on. Is this really neccesary? Does it put the vehicle in any danger? Does it do anything to the performance? THANKS

Yes it is necesary because your engine will need more fuel with the pipes. It does not put the bike in any danger. If you DON'T rejet, it will put your engine at danger of running lean (starved for fuel) and blowing up. It's crazy, but fuel acts as a coolant to your engine, and if you don't get enough of it, your piston will overheat and start melting which would not be a good thing. If you don't trust your mechanic maybe you should find a new one.
