What do you think are the best rear tires for sliding sideways/drifting and still having decent forward grip for dry trail riding? I definitely want to stay in the 22 inch range with 9 inch rims. I don't have an ungodly amount of power, only a 250, but it holds its own. My buddy has extremely worn down (ie slicks) 20 inch tires on his and really doesn't have much problem with loss of forward traction as long as its dry. When wet, its mario cart on bananas.

I like the ITP GNCC's or XCR's but there are alot of good choices.

I know, there are too many choices, I feel like I'm in a round room with a full bladder.

I read a review on the GNCC's and said they had a bit too much traction. It came on unexpectedly. Do you know what they are talking about?

Yeah, I've heard good things about those tires. What you say really backs up what I've read in the reviews at rockymountainatv. Are those tires pretty flat or rounded at the top when mounted? What size do you have?

I am considering the 535 Knarly HT and XC and the 533 Klaw XCR from Kenda. The Holeshot XCT from ITP. And the 934 Razr2 and 922 Razr from Maxxis. I keep coming back to the Klaw though. It seems like it would slide the best and not hook up n flip.

The kenda 20-11-9 XC which is what i have has a nice flat top I hate round tire's on sport quad's ive tried em and they just didnt work out I had maxxis razr tire's on back before these they was good but really hooked up too much for my liking'' my rap is a 350 and it would break loose good going foward but the 350 being narrow like it is" it two wheeled threw corners Now i have the KLAW xc tire's I love em they slide good and it has a great feel too whille doing so and as i said they have a great profile I can send you a pic of them mounted up if ya like all I need is a email to send em too. But with all this being said id try em out great tire and from rockmountain I got them for like 100 bucks free shiping...

That describes my situation exactly. I think we are after the same setup. The only thing I worry about is I'm planning on 22 inch tires. I wonder if I should drop to 21? Its only 1/2 less ground clearance and it might help me slide a bit more than 22's. I ride in trails that have a lot of big rocks though. Not sure what to do.

Yeah, that's exactly what I'm trying to avoid. My buddy has 20's with no tread to speak of and he still gets pretty good traction. Neither one of us race, so getting the "holeshot" is not as important and being able to do a burn out and slide around having fun. I've even thought about cutting the ***** off the tires I have now! But I really don't want slicks either...
