Banshee is hard to start

I just had my carbs worked on. When I'm riding the quad it runs better than new, but if it sits for a day or a couple of days and the engine is cold, it's a pain in the *** to start. What can I do to fix this problem?

When mine was stock,It was very cold blooded. It would always need choke when it was cold and I would have to pulse it on and off a little.
After I piped re-jetted,reeds.. It was Weard it would start on the 1st kick with no choke most of the time. They must be a little lean with the stock pilot.

When it's cld for me, I put the choke up all the way at first, if she's realy loud and working I lower it a bit, and then when it sounds good i keep it there and then slowly lower it more and more to the point the choke is not up anymore. It may be a little time consuming but atleast it's warm.

A cold engine needs more fuel, so if it's hard to start, you're not getting enough fuel or you're getting too much air. If yours has the butterfly carbs you could check to make sure the butterflies close all the way at 0 throttle.

Having owned a Quadzilla and now owning a CR500 I have learned each engine just needs the right foreplay and it will rev right up. my quadzilla was put the choke on no squirts of gas and give three kicks starting on second or third, first if it wasnt cold out. then blip the throttle as you were finishing kicking. on my CR500 Choke on, squirt a few with the throttle then give two sissy kicks and a full kick and away ya go. you just have to figure out what your bike needs to start up thats how 2 strokes are. both my bikes ran and idled perfectly but even my friends who were pretty experienced riders could rarely start them without a lot of huff and buff. squirting a little fuel or giving a few sissy kicks or both helps to get the fuel movin. also make sure your starting your kicks at TDC for a full kick.
shouldnt have to regularly pop start any bike unless theres a problem and its not great for your tranny in the long term to do it all the time. everybody needs to sometimes. I flooded the hell out of my CR500 and just didnt have the leg energy left to kick it dry so I tied it to my pickup truck and had my dad tow me down the road in second and after about 35 feet with the clutch out it fired up but unless somthing is wrong try the foreplay instead of tying her up and laying down the law
