A friend of mine bought my old gun shop and seems now to trade for anything. He traded for a nice looking yamaha 225 the guy he got it off of said it was 1986 or 87 it seems to be in good shape all plastic is in real good shape tire's look like the original and look almost new. The only thing I see wrong with it is the foot pegs are a little bent back. I am not a 3 wheeler person but have 6 4wheelers.... I can get this for $250 can anyone tell me about this yellow 3 wheeler and if it isn't worth $250 whould it be worth anything for a parts machine?

thanks very much

I would say that $250 for anything that runs and has wheels it a good deal. I rode with a guy in Colorado who had a yellow 225 Yamaha three wheeler. It ran good and seemed to have good power, even at high altitude. I would buy it for $250 if everything seemed ok and if I lived closer. I know several people who would buy it if I did not.

I would definately go for it. A buddy of mine rode one for years, and its' been a damn good wheeler. Not the fastest, but it had a good amount of power, easy to ride and comfortable. If only all companies made ATV's of this quality today....
It's worth $250 easy, if i was looking for one, It wouldn't bother me at all to pay 3 times that, if it was in good shape.

That was the first ATC I ever owned. It was a very reliable machine and would go in water way past the fenders. It's not fast or anything but just a well built machine that just goes and goes. Someone once told me that the 225 kept Yamaha from going bankrupt.
